Your skin’s new best friend: matcha aloe vera popsicles

Your skin’s new best friend: matcha aloe vera popsicles

Summer’s here, and with it comes the sunburns, ocean hair, and skin that’s screaming for a break (bless that end-of-summer full body intensive scrub, am I right?). After a day of fun in the sun, the last thing you want is to deal with irritated, dry skin. That’s why it’s important to use skincare that helps prevent and recover, and I’ve got the perfect DIY to soothe and hydrate: matcha aloe vera popsicles. Trust me, even though they aren’t for eating (I wish), these will give your skin the refreshment it needs.

Why matcha + aloe vera + honey is the ultimate skin-saving combo

The ingredients in these popsicles are no joke. And, as usual, not super hard to find! You know I won’t show up here with complicated DIYs, babe.

Anyway, it’s no news that, when it comes to skincare, the right ingredients can make all the difference. Here’s why the combination of matcha, aloe vera, and honey works like magic for this:

  • Matcha:
It’s packed with antioxidants and known for its anti-inflammatory properties. This means it’s incredible calming redness and irritation. Matcha tea powder also helps detoxify the skin, leaving it with a smooth, refreshed glow.

  • Aloe vera:
We’ve used it before in some other DIY, and yes, it’s honestly the ultimate skin soother. Aloe vera is amazing for sunburn, great for your face, and a go-to remedy for cooling down hot, inflamed skin. It hydrates like no other and calms inflammation, I will always bring it with me on my beach hols. It’s also packed with vitamins and minerals that help the skin recover and replenish moisture.

  • Honey:
No mystery if you’ve been reading our other articles on the blog, honey acts as a natural moisturizer that locks in hydration, keeping your skin feeling plump and soft. It’s also rich in antioxidants, working wonders for your skin’s overall health.

Together? They create a hydrating burst for your face that leaves your skin feeling instantly refreshed.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • 1 scoop (1.5g) of Matcha DNA organic matcha powder (the best matcha powder for glowing skin)

  • 1 fresh aloe vera leaf

  • 1 tsp honey

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Prep the aloe: Slice your fresh aloe vera in half and scoop out the gel. Make sure to remove the skin, leaving only the clear aloe vera gel (the good gooey stuff).

  2. Blend it up: Toss the aloe vera gel into a blender, add the organic matcha powder, and honey. Blend everything until smooth and creamy.

  3. Freeze: Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and place them in the freezer. Let them freeze for at least 5 hours, or until they are solid enough to apply.

  4. Apply and glow: Once frozen, it’s as easy as gently rubbing the popsicle over your face. Literally. Feel that instant cooling sensation? Yasss that’s the aloe working its magic.

Easy, right?
