If you’re feeling your fitness era and are a matcha girly like me, get ready, because this one is for you! We posted it on our Instagram and TikTok and you guys loved it, so it only made sense that I shared it here as well, right? You don’t know what I’m talking about? We’re making sure we get our protein intake and curing our matcha cravings all together with this matcha protein shake. With homemade matcha protein powder. Yup, you heard that right.

Matcha isn’t just for lattes or aesthetic TikTok mornings: it’s a natural energy kick with zero crash, rich in antioxidants, and packed with L-theanine (aka calm focus in a cup). Now, combine that with protein, and you’ve got a shake that’s as strong as your gym playlist (I’m currently obsessed with phonk, and this hits just as good).

This isn’t your average “fitness drink.” It’s your glow-up in a glass. The kind that powers you through the day, keeps your energy steady, and tastes like something you’d actually want. No chalky taste. No sugar crash. Just pure, feel-good fuel.

the ingredients: simple, powerful, and actually delicious

For the matcha protein powder:

  • 85 g textured soy protein

  • 15 g Matcha DNA organic matcha powder

For the shake:

  • 1 scoop matcha protein powder

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup milk of your choice (oat, almond, dairy… whatever fits your vibe)

  • Optional: whatever sweetener you like!

Let’s start by making our matcha protein powder:

  1. Blend the soy protein until it’s fine and powdery.

  2. Sift in the matcha powder to remove any lumps.

  3. Blend again until the two are fully combined.

And now for the shake:

  1. Add 1 scoop of your homemade matcha protein powder to a blender.

  2. Add 1 banana and 1 cup of milk. This is when you can also add in the sweetener if you want. I like adding a bit of honey (and sometimes a dash of vanilla for a little extra flavor).

  3. Blend on high until smooth, creamy, and frothy.

  4. Pour into your favorite glass, sprinkle some extra matcha powder on top, and enjoy!

You can sip it as a pre-workout snack to get the energy you need for your gym session, as a post-workout recovery shake, or honestly whenever you’re craving it (and needing to reach that daily protein intake).
