The glow recipe you didn’t know you needed: matcha + cinnamon face mask

Yes, another matcha mask (we don’t get tired, do we?). Think of this one as a skincare latte: cozy, glowy, and low-key powerful. This matcha facial mask mixes the calming energy of sandalwood essential oil with the gentle heat of cinnamon, all meant to polish and rejuvenate your skin when it’s looking dull and tired.

So grab your Matcha DNA organic matcha powder, put on your favorite playlist, and let’s get into your new favorite skincare hack.

ingredients you’ll need (and why they work)

The magic here isn’t just in the mix, it’s in what each ingredient brings to the table. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp Matcha DNA matcha powder
No news here, she’s the antioxidant queen. Packed with catechins and chlorophyll, matcha green tea helps fight dullness, calm redness, and protect your skin from pollution and stress.

  • 1 tsp honey
Another classic in our DIYs, it’s super hydrating and leaves your skin looking juicy and dewy.

  • ½ tbsp boiled water
Mostly to get everything together nicely.

  • 2 drops sandalwood essential oil
It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties that help calm down your skin.

  • A pinch of cinnamon
The secret ingredient in this face mask! Cinnamon is said to gently polish the skin, improve circulation, and boost brightness. But be careful! It’s not your best ally if you have sensitive skin, and a little goes a long way.

how to make this DIY matcha and cinnamon face mask

  1. Mix the base: In a small bowl, stir your matcha powder with boiled water until you get a thick, creamy paste.

  2. Add the other ingredients: Blend in the honey. Add two drops of sandalwood essential oil and a tiny pinch of cinnamon. Stir until the mix looks smooth and glossy.

  3. Apply the glow: Spread the mask evenly over your (clean) face and neck, avoiding the eye area. You can do this with your fingers or use those skincare brushes if you’re feeling fancy.

  4. Chill & rinse: Now the best part, imo, about face masks. Time to relax (mandatory!) for 15 to 20 minutes and let the mask do its thing. It’s time for that mirror selfie, as well! Once time has passed, rinse with warm water, follow up with your favorite toner and moisturizer.
