Snack like a legend with these matcha bliss balls

Ready to up your snackin’ game?

It’s my duty as part of the Matcha DNA team to experiment and look for creative ways to incorporate matcha into your lives. We loooove trying new recipes, reading about new ways to prepare your matcha, or hacks to improve your beauty routine. Girl, we have so much fun doing it, too. And so when we come across something that’s as delicious as it is easy, I can’t wait to share it with you.

So if you’re looking for a fun twist on your daily energy boost, or simply are a sweet tooth like me, then these matcha bliss balls are about to become your new go-to treat. Perfect for satisfying cravings, super healthy and (obviously) iconic.

These energy balls are versatile enough to be enjoyed as a pre- or post-workout snack, a midday pick-me-up, or even as a yummy treat when you’re just in the mood for it (aka me all the time). Plus, did I already mention they’re incredibly simple to make and ready in just a few minutes? Ideal if you don’t have much patience in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp Matcha DNA (the best matcha green tea powder for your crazy recipes)

  • 1 cup rolled oats (fiber-packed energy boost)

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (creamy, protein-rich goodness)

  • 1 tbsp honey (the sweetness needed to balance everything out)

How to prep

Making your matcha bliss balls is as easy as 1-2-3. Let’s go:

  1. Mix it up: Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and mix until it’s uniform.

  2. Roll it up: Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls. The goal? To create treats that are perfect for grabbing on the go.

  3. Chill or devour: Pop them in the fridge for 30 minutes to give them a firmer texture, oooor enjoy them straight out of the bowl. We won’t judge 😉.

Energy? Check. Flavor? Double check.

Make them your own

Why stop at the basics? You should definitely try adding in your favorite toppings. Here are a few suggestions in case you’re not feeling creative:

  • Add chocolate chips for a burst of extra sweetness. Trust me, matcha goes incredible with chocolate.

  • Toss in walnuts, almonds, or cashews to add a yummy crunch (and boost the protein content).

  • Sprinkle just a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
