Make your own lavender cream oatmilk matcha at home

Spring is here, and you know what that means? Lavender cream oatmilk matcha season is back! Yup, I’m sure your Instagram stories are as full of it as mine. And honestly, I’ve been dying to go get myself one, too.

But why wait for it to hit the Starbucks menu when you can make it at home? I mean, it’s so much fun to experiment with these drinks yourself, add your own little twists… And, as the matcha-girly that you know I am, well, doing these things are like a part of my personality at this point. What would I be without my fun matcha recipes, right?

So get ready to elevate your matcha game with this floral, creamy goodness all year round. Trust me, it’s incredibly good, and once you try it, you’ll be hooked.

Ingredients

For the lavender cold foam:

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp whole milk

  • 1 tbsp lavender syrup (Starbucks uses lavender powder, but I find this easier, tbh)

  • 1-2 drops purple food coloring (optional, but, I mean, if it’s not purple, it’s not as pretty as it should be, don’t you think?)

For the matcha latte base:

  • 1 ½ cups oat milk

  • 3 tbsp vanilla syrup

  • 2 tsp Matcha DNA organic matcha powder

How to make your lavender cream oatmilk matcha

  1. Make the lavender cold foam: In a jar or container, combine the heavy cream, the whole milk, the lavender syrup, and a drop (or two) of purple food coloring. Froth everything for a few seconds using a milk frother until it’s nice and fluffy, and set aside.

  2. Make the matcha latte: In a large glass, pour in the oat milk, vanilla syrup and matcha powder, and whisk until it’s well-blended. We want 0 clumps.

  3. Assemble your drink: Get your cutest glass and fill it with ice (as much as your vibes demand!). Pour in your matcha, and top it off with the dreamy lavender cold foam. Don’t forget to snap a pic before drinking ✨😮💨
